Lexus/Toyota sticky melting shiny dashboards.

Time is running out to get your car in to be inspected, and dashboard and door panels replaced under the warranty enhancement program. Some people might not even know about the problem, or got the letter. Going to take my Lexus in soon because I have a big sticky spot that has developed on the right side of the dash, and there are shiny spots on the dashboard that is close to windshield. Going to get worse as time goes by. Lots of Lexus/Toyota cars on the list, so look yours up.


Here is a letter I found about it, and the VIN/car is not my Lexus.

My parents got the notice for their van, we're still waiting for Toyota to have the replacement dash panel available. This was late last year as well.

And my G35 and FX45, both of which had their dashes replaced under warranty, and are no longer covered.

It seems like this affects many Florida cars.

Dashes see some extreme conditions. Chrysler replaced the dash in my old truck (2001 Ram 1500).

Finally got down to Charlotte today to have Hendrick Lexus inspect the dashboard and door panels. They are going to replace all of it, and the parts are on order. You have until May 31, 2017 to get your car inspected. I called Lexus customer service, and they said yes my car qualified, and told me where to take it.
