I would guess that he had 5 total VP (4 dummies) for balance, you put an extra one on one side to make 6 and his little party is not centered around him anymore.
We always sang this as "I Am So [Happy]" for fun, think even the [Happy] folks would chuckle and not take too much offense. Might not be tolerated these days...
