Alright post the best MPG that you have achieved with a Gasoline car / suv.
Mine is 47 Mpg ( 5.0L/100Km ) out of my 1999 Peugeot 106 II, which has a puny 1124cc engine with 60 Hp, Manual 5 speed gearbox. ( On average i achieve 45 easy )

I did 54 US mpg (4.36L/100km), once, but it was diesel. Rented a UHaul once, it got 6mpg (39L/100km).

My Saturn SL used to turn in 40mpg (5.88L/100km). That's the best gas mpg I've ever gotten.

Got 43mpg when I borrowed my brother's 1995 Toyota Tercel. He got it from an estate with only got 60000 miles.

Can beat that!

The wife's Suzuki Celerio {1.0 litre, 3 cylinder, naturally aspirated} once did 532 miles on 32 litres of petrol. That's 74.8 mpg (Imperial), 16.6 miles/litre or 3.77 litres/100 km. The average (since new), all driving conditions, all seasons, etc is about 70 mpg (real as measured from tank fills).

Small cars aren't for everyone but even by small car standards, these Suzuki's are extremely clever little cars.

Around 28 in my Solara. I usually get between 22-25 on a winter gas tank. 24-26 on summer gas but that's the max this 4 banger can give. Maybe 40 in my sisters Prius C.

36.7 mpg / 10 gal (car has a 13 gal max) / 367 miles.

90% Hwy this tankful.

Current Toyota Corolla (2016 LE, 1.8L w/CVT)

41.9 in my 1.4T Cruze from Atlanta to central KY, no A/C or cruise control but not intentionally "hypermiling". Also kinda proud of pulling 24 out if my sister's '84 4 cyl./auto Cherokee on a 200+ mile trip to Lexington and back. It must lean out when the throttle butterfly is sitting completely vertical or something.

Dayton to Tampa Vacations (Back in the day, I still have this car) 30.5 mpg 1980 Mustang 255" V8 auto,(non overdrive, with stock 2:26 rear ratio)

32MPG out of our 2003 2.5 Outback on a highway run.

Not terrible for a 3500+ pound AWD wagon with less than ideal aero profile.

Last Sunday trip to Beloit WI and got on a couple tanks 20.8 letting the cruise control stay at 70+ thru the hills and valleys to pickup a new dog with the Xterra. Never got that on the flat with conventional let alone with temps at freezing. EPA supposed to be 17 Hiway and that's what I got before everything changed to synthetic.

Best I ever got with a gas engine was 36.72 mpg in my 97 Camry 2.2L

My current Camry has gotten 37.1 mpg with my brother driving with A/C on half the time. 70 mph and he was following me while I was driving a Uhaul.

I've gotten 21.8 mpg out of my Jeep. 5 people in it and the trunk loaded up. 65 mph and occasional A/C.

Best I ever got out of my TDI was 44.3 mpg.

Maybe we should change this up whats the cheapest

fuel cost per mile

If gas was $6-8 dollars a gallon I'd drive something better on fuel.

My 2010 Fusion has topped out at about 30MPG doing regular daily commute driving back & forth to work (~90% highway @ 70-75MPH).

When I moved from Chicago to Phoenix back in 1999, I drove my '93 Ford Probe 2.0 liter, and got a little over 40Mpg over the drive (~1800 miles)

I managed 32 MPG on a trip from Little rock, AR to OKC cruising 75 to 80 the whole way. I have never managed that high since. The closest I have been was 26. I have also never taken it that far in one trip since!

We managed 49 MPG on my little brothers 2016 Mazda3 2.0 cruising 55 mph on a 3 hour drive on old highways!
