2006 Saab 9-3, 72K miles with 2.0 GM/Saab turbo Ecotec engine. Has had a steady diet of 0W-40 M1. Burns almost no oil with a 10K OCI. Most recent change was May, 2015 with 5W-30 PUP and Fram Ultra cartridge filter.

The Saab is driven mostly around town with occasional 100+ mile trip. Wx in this part of NC is mild most of the year. The OLM now reads 57% @ about 5700 miles. This calculates to >13K miles for this OCI. The SID is NOT counting down the time. It still reads 365 days until oil change even though it will be two years in four month. I don't know if the algorithm in the computer is incorrect but a 13K mile OIC seems like a stretch to me.

Comments and or sage advice?

I'd change it at the 10k mark. Nice to have a little cushion esp on an older car. Since the olm doesn't take the age of the car into account.
