Just started looking for a new air filter for my truck and came across the MicroGreen line of air filters. Looks like the MG8755a would fit. Would these be a step up from OEM or popular quality aftermarket air filters? Anyone use them?

OEM air filters are usually the best option unlike oil filters where the aftermarket does it better
If OEM air filters are so much better why is there such a huge aftermarket industry out there?

Lower prices than at dealers, more convenient locations, and the myth that air filters should be changed frequently.

they seem to be a similar concept to many European filters, where there is a foam pre-layer. In the Euro filters, they are "cold weather" filters, to prevent snow from sticking to the cellulose(/synthetic) air filter, reducing its performance.
