Was GM using Dex-kill in 89' with the Camaro RS? I am putting some work into my Camaro with the 2.8l and can't find anything about what kind of coolant to use? I don't need anything fancy, just information on compatible coolant that wont sludge up if I do a full radiator & block flush

Just use the plain old green stuff. Dexcool didn't come in until the mid 90s I think.

Green would do it. Zerex G-05 would also be a good substitute if you want something a little more advanced, or that may last longer.

Yes, real green (not the green dyed dex cool).

Or else flush it ALL out and consider G-05 or dex, IMO.

No. As noted by others, Original Green AF IAT type was used. It can found at most autoparts stores.

For reference, linked is an AF application chart that's not bad. They need to update Ford an Chrysler somewhere after 2010, but that doesn't affect your question.
