137_Trenton those Pierogi look fantastic you know what your doing, farmers cheese is my wife's favorite, I was raised with Pan frying the Pierogi in butter but I know your way might even be the most common from what I see on YouTube.

. The frying/not frying thing all comes down to where somebody came from. Many countries have their own version of "pierogi". I happen to be Ukrainian and we call them varenyky... it stems from varenyj / varyty which basically means boiled or to boil. So we don't fry them. I do make a fried version with sauerkraut, but it's quite different because it uses a yeast dough. You stuff the filling inside the dough and seal it up really good and then it gets deep fried... it's almost like a stuffed roll or a hand pie (whatever you want to call it haha). I suppose you could bake it instead of frying it, now that I think about it. It's 9 in the morning and I'm already getting hungry
