Solvent to remove Amsoil HDMP

I need to remove a coating of HDMP from a painted (I assume clearcoat- it is silver like the rest of the car) part of my car. I want to be sure to not damage the paint. I was thinking to use mineral spirits. Any thoughts?

IIRC mineral spirits should take it right off. I'd give it a try.

Naptha (Camping fuel or lighter fluid) works well, too. Both that and mineral spirits won't mar the clear coat.
