New to Subaru's

Thanks all for the advice and kind words, I will probably never take it on the beach but maybe dirt roads since I work in the woods but should be a fun journey I always wanted to buy a car new and drive it too 500,000 miles maybe it will be this one maybe not. Only time will tell

I was in Corolla, NC just north of Nag's Head last summer and there is a 15 miles stretch of 4wd only area of beach. No atv's. Every Subaru there was doing great. Not sure what tires they had but none had lift kits or anything. My Montero did pretty awesome too but it has MT tires and I would expect it to do well. Lifted Jeeps and trucks did the best though. Escapes and CRV's were buried pretty quick and getting towed all the time. They warn you 4wd only not AWD. Subaru and Audi's seemed fine though. Surprisingly the sand is soft there and harder to drive in than snow. I have heard somewhere around Daytona is some off road beach and it is much harder packed and easier to drive on.

Resist splashing in the ocean or a rust bucket it will be soon.
