The Bobcat T-190 requires 4 oz per side of special dealer only lubricant. What 8 oz are they selling us for $70? I just wonder what is this stuff, and what is a suitable reccomended replacement? Also, why is the capacity so small? The removing the sprockets to service the final drives is just a goofy design. Any one here have experience on this topic specifically?

I have heard some people use gear oil and change it frequently.

However those parts are so expensive if it was my Bobcat I'd use the oem fluid even if it was 100$ a side.

I would consider either SAE140 gear oils or SAE50 transmission oils.
I won't bother with OEM fluid .
