I've been using valvoline chimson red lithium soap grease in my Kioti farm tractor exclusively. That's what the dealer used and I stuck with it. It's getting more expensive, and I'm getting poorer. Can I switch to a moly or are there compatible or not-compatible greases I can or cannot use?

So whats the cost per month for hitting the handful of zerks on the tractor. My IH and JD only had a handful of zerks that needed tending weekly-40 + hrs. My mowers were what chewed up the grease, with daily tending. The finish reel mowers could screw a tube a day easy.
If you are talking about different grease types, there is a compatibility chart Here . I find that chart to be extremely conservative, because some of the "incompatible" listings are a little overcautious I think. Otherwise, talk to the grease manufacturer and ask them about their product compatibility.
I'm switching from valvoline crimson, to Mystik JT-6 Hi-Temp Grease. They are both lithium based so I guess I'm compatible.
