Hi everyone,

In between the heads and the camtray of my 6A12 MIVEC Mitsubishi motor there is an o-ring that separates an oil line (I presume for the MIVEC solenoid but I am not certain).

What would be the best material o-ring for me to replace it with?

I have found nitrile and viton o-rings so far but I assume since stem seals are subjected to heat and oil and are made of viton rubber then this is the best option for me here too?

Oil seals are cheap ......
I replace all OEM oil seals (some of which are lower spec'ed Nitrile rubber) with Viton oil seals only.
Viton seals is higher spec'ed and for high temperature use .... even though an application may not call for its use.
