Hello again and thought since my mom had a 2007 Ford Freestyle that took this filter I would buy one and cut it open for the BITOG faithful. Enjoy the pics :^)

Probably my next filter for the truck (after I use my current 2 FL820S).
Will work just fine for my 6 month OCI.
I am not crazy about the combo valve, but it should be fine for ~5000 miles.

Thanks for the C&P.

I have a regular question. How rubber like and "springy" is that green combo valve? I have one that is sort of a brown color and it was not springy. It would stay bent on the flap area for awhile and even never get back to it's original shape. I gave it a fail and made no friends. More positively I was reading some old posts and was thinking what turkey wrote that? I saw it was myself who wrote it.

This is the combo valve from mine. The lip stays up. I pushed it up with my finger and this is how it came back, slowly. This is the lip that is supposed to seal over the inlet holes. It may be better when under spring pressure but the rubber is strange stuff. Maybe the green one is a new formulation is why I asked in the first place.

It's probably now made out of "flubber".
