Under dash noise

Hey guys been a while.I have this problem with a 2005 Ford Freestyle when turning on the heater or just turning on the key to on it makes a thumping noise..this will go away in five minutes but after shuting it off and turn the key back on again..and its driving me nuts while trying to figure what it is under the dashboard

Blend door actuator. Stripped gears will do that.

Hi tcp71 you may be right..im going try that area..so yes every time the key turned to on or start the car it makes that stupid thumping noise like someone tapping with a fist..thanks again

x2 on that, Ford sedans are infamous for it, my 2009, 2011, and 2013 Taurii all had that happen.
