Why do I do this to myself
WARNING this game is addicting!!!!
I need an intervention or something now.
Nick was nice enough to offer some tips and advice on the game that have made a HUGE difference( thanks Nick )and I have really got into it now. I even paid for a premium membership today which I never dreamed I would do.
If you do sign up however, make sure you don't accidentally wind up on one of the foreign servers like I did originally( will be in English ). Somehow I wound up on the EU server and version of the game and not the NA one like I should have being from the US. Game is the same and all but should have been on the NA server. Cost me over a week of playing and all the ships and resources I had earned. I had to start all over from scratch. I even had to download the game again so it was the NA version. Not a big deal as I was only doing the all free stuff then. Now that I have paid though it would be an issue as you can't transfer things between servers. So make sure you get the right one unlike me...
Today I moved up to the TIV German Battleship KAISER which will be my 3rd TIV ship( lost one when switched to new server ). Takes a while to earn the needed resources to upgrade so it feels good when you get a new ship.

Er, I messed up. The blyskawica is the premium tier 7 Polish DESTROYER, not cruiser.

Nick really got me into this game. It is a blast.
Slowly increasing the fleet. Just added the 1st IJN( Imperial Japanese Navy )Battleship. It is the Tier III KAWACHI. It is AWFUL!!!! Can't wait to earn enough to research and move up to the next one in the line which is better( when fully upgraded ). This one is soooo baaaadddd. Slow, maneuvers like a drunk pregnant whale, gun range is awful and when you can shoot it is completely inaccurate, and just on and on.
Looks kind of cool though.

Two new ships for the fleet. Have to sort of go through the lower [censored] ones to get to the better ones so I am slowly progressing up the tree. I have shifted away from the German and Japanese lines for a bit to get the US, Russian, and British lines going...

2 more new ships to the fleet. Last ones for a couple days. Need to spend some time adjusting to game play in these higher tiers. My win and live % just took a nose dive as I play more experienced opponents with higher tier ships BIG TIME!

I know I said no new ships for a while but I lied. That's what addicts do.
Got so tired of the TIII Battleship USS SOUTH CAROLINA with it's abysmally slow speed and inaccurate guns. Had the resources to move up to the TIV Battleship USS WYOMING. Having played against the Wyoming I was looking forward to it's bristling guns and stronger hull. Was not disappointed. Had one of my best games with a 1st time ship ever. Now that I'm back home and can use my desktop again, here are some of the things I've gotten. First, I finally got enough XP on the Colorado to unlock the Tier 8 American Battleship, the USSS North Carolina, and [censored] if she isn't pretty. Oh, also I just visited her the other day while I was visiting family in NC, was great to tour her in person.

The Russian Tier 4 battleship, the Imperator Nikolai I. This thing is a monster, so much so it's no longer available for purchase except as a reward ship. It's incredibly overpowered for its tier.
German Tier 8 premium cruiser, the KMS Prinz Eugen
The lovely Tier 6 Soviet cruiser, VMF Molotov with it's incredible 180mm/57 Mk3 guns.
Tier 8 Premium Pan-Asia destroyer, the ROCS Lo Yang (Taiwan, also formerly the USS Benson)
And finally, my other new tech tree unlocked ship, the HMS Leander, the Tier 6 British cruiser in the game.

I can't match the amount of ships nor the higher levels Nick shows. He is a much more experienced and better player and thus he has progressed so much further than me. I'm trailing along, way back there, and trying though.
Couple new ones for me....
1 - I sold the IJN TIII Battleship KAWACHI just as fast as I could and upgraded to the TIV Battleship MYOGI. Have to say, so far I am not a fan of the IJN Battleships. The MYOGI is a step up in many ways but the IJN BB's so far are so inaccurate with their guns it is crazy. With excruciatingly slow reloads it makes it hard to play them IMO. But I soldier on....
2 - One of my favorite ships is the BRN TIII Cruiser CALEDON. It is by far the fastest and most maneuverable of the Cruisers I have played with a decent gun and torp range. Not a lot of hull HP though so you have to do a lot of hit and run which is a blast. Pretty much it is a big Destroyer. Because I like playing it so much I decided to give actual Destroyers a try so I purchased my 1st "DD" yesterday. The GN TII Destroyer V-25. OMG is this thing a BLAST!!!! It's like your ship is Usain Bolt and you are running a foot race against the other ships which are all Fat Albert's( DD's excluded ). Just a real blast.
I suspect I will be posting more Destroyer photos over time.

GN TIII Battleship NASSAU and USN TIV Cruiser PHOENIX have been retired. Neither is particularly fun to play( NASSAU was initially as it was my very 1st Battleship but now it is boring )or very good so I won't miss them all that much and wanted to clear some port slots for future ships. The NASSAU was okay just very slow with very inaccurate guns. The PHOENIX was okay as well but nothing to write home about.
Added a new ship as well. USN TV Cruiser OMAHA. Pretty much just a slightly upgraded PHOENIX but it is better. Very easy to "git yersef blow'd up in" though. You have to run and hide and only put your nose out to shoot then run and hide again because it is outranged anywhere from 3K - 7K by the other ships I see. This has been me so far in the OMAHA...

Sold the IJN Battleship MYOGI. Leaving their BB's. Don't like them. Their Cruiser's seem okay though so I have added a new Cruiser. My 1st TVI. The AOBA. basically an upgraded( slightly )Furutaka. Got it sunk the 1st time out.

Added another new one to the fleet. British Royal Navy TV Cruiser EMERALD. Wasn't going to buy it( was working on bypassing it on the way to the next one up the TVI LEANDER )but it was marked down significantly so in true BITOG spirit I grabbed it.
