I was wondering if anyone has any experience ordering a windshield online? I am looking at a few websites it see if it is even possible to order the windshield and have it shipped. Car is the Cobalt in my signature. I am out of the country for the time being and having a difficult time sourcing the glass locally.

Do you know if it is covered by your car insurance? Mass regulates that all windshield replacement is free from the insurance provider. I see they have a lot of glass at rockauto. Probably the best price. Issue I had (even with my free replacement) is OEM glass can be shipping and break in the process.

Checked for pricing on my 1995 Escort and I think their pricing is high. $130 just for the windshield with no install. I just paid $160 not long ago for one installed.

I'm guessing he's stationed overseas, where the Cobalt is not a common model and therefore windshield glass is not readily available, thus the need to source online. Or I could be way off...

If you are going to keep the car for more than a year or so, make sure the glass isn't some really cheap Chinese or Mexican made glass. Auto glass is a lot like oil filters. There are some really good stuff and some really bad stuff out there.

I need a new windshields too and was also looking at windhsieldstogo.com

Their site says original equipment quality new glass and no additional fees.
