M1 HM 0W-20

I've not been active lately so maybe I missed it, when was this oil released? It's not on the M1 site yet and I found it on the AvanceAuto site accidentally but it's not available.

I've been wondering when there was going to be a 0w20 HM

0w-20 is dinosaur wizz. For the Yukon Territories, ok.

I don't see it on the Mobil 1 website under High Mileage oil or searching the PDS. Still only 5W-20/30 & 10W-30/40

Why? I use M1 0-20 EP on my F150 but am open to hearing why "regular 5w30 would work better."

I find the idea of a HM 20 grade ironically hilarious. Just use a 30 grade.

The post is about M1 HM 0w20. Generally people use a HM oil to solve a problem.. like oil consumption or leaks.. "I bet" a thicker 5w30 would work better than a thinner 0w20 HM oil for those problems.

Maybe thats a bad bet..

There's been a few out for a little while.




And this seems like an oil you can switch to before you have any noticeable consumption but as seals age on a 0w20 vehicle. Higher mileage but still in good shape and live in a cold climate, I'd give it a shot if it were a decent price and I drove a Honda/Toyota/ with higher miles.

I also find the idea of a HM 0w20 rather funny. If i had a car speccing 0w20 that had 200.000 Miles and leaked/burned oil i would just go to a 5w30.
