I have a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the G80 Locking rear end. If I had to pick either Amsoil Severe Gear 75w90 or Amsoil Long Life 75w90 to replace my differential fluids, would I be better off with the Severe Gear or the Long Life?
I have 61,000 on the truck and replaced the factory lube at 40,000. I will be replacing the current lube at about 80,000 miles. I have a 19 foot travel trailer that I pull about a half dozen times a summer, usually under 100 miles each way. I use my truck as a daily driver and 98% of the time on the road...very little off road and then nothing extreme. I might pull a stump or two every so often. Should I go with the severe gear or long life?
