Brand new Michelin tires
Has had the "spider tree" on the fuel system done 2 yrs ago
within the last three years, new water pump, oxygen sensor, power steering hoses, brakes all around and had the rear end rebuilt! (3.42 ratio)

No weird smells, very clean on the interior
some minor wear on interior
A/C front rear blows ice cold
He has the oil/filter changed every 3K by either a shop, or he did it. Don't know the exact type of oil but sticker said it was 5W-30.

wife and I thought it drove excellent, no pulling, great acceleration.
He said he only pulled a u-haul type trailer every so often.
All the miles were highway miles.

I thought it sounded/drove great.

We offered him $5k and he accepted.

If it really is in that great of shape, $5k isn't too bad.

I had a Vortec 5.7L in my 1996 Silverado. Loved that motor!

I really don't like the 5.3L. No low end power.

If you are happy then it was a good deal. Not everyone can find the bestest deal every time. And even then, people will still argue over what is a great deal. I bought some used rims recently, and while chatting with the guy he thought I paid on the high side for my Camry--even though mine was very low rust. Difference of opinion.

Good luck!

Thanks! We pick it up Friday. You know what's next right? A post "what kind of oil should I use?"
