Yes, the Value battery at Walmart runs $48.97 or some number close to that with free install. For $3.50 they have a NOCO battery treatment service that is less than the $3.97 NOCO treatment kit with battery savers. Anyways the Value battery is made by JCI so not exactly a terrible battery.

Walmart ValuePower would be your best choice at $48.88

Camry got one in January, Trailblazer got one in late August/early September.

To the OP, what car, what can you afford. You are in MA, those are colder winters compared to NM, or AZ.

"...also I think walmart has a a very cheap line of batteries..."

Yup, I'd agree. I tried that once, wouldn't touch a Walmart battery again.

My story, a battery gets to die once, after that, it's replaced. I've never found a good time for a battery to die.

This post is more for the casual reader than to answer your post.

Batteries love the cold, and can't take the heat.

I'm at the one year mark on my WM valuepower. It starts my truck once a week to go to the dump, 4 miles round-trip. And it does it flawlessly.

The Walmart Value battery sounds good - less than $50.00 and a 1 year free replacement nation-wide warranty. It might be wise to consider a trickle charge battery charger since the vehicle is driven so little. Good luck.

The Walmart battery (Everstart MAXX) in my Caddy is nearly nine years old and-finally-showing its age. (A load test came up marginal, though it still cranks over that giant engine with no real strain.) Come spring, I plan to replace it with a Value Power.
