Have any of you used an infrared paint remover? If so, was it worth the money and did it work properly? Thanks!

I recently used peel away 1... worked great...

I wouldn't want to breathe the vapors from IR.

Exactly what surface will you be removing the paint from and where is this surface located?
Also, do you happen to know the type of paint is on the surface?

excellent questions for the OP.

for example, rustolum (oil based) melts off when using paint thinner, but paint thinner is generally useless for removing common automotive paint.

Old house built in the 1920s. Removing paint from the interior trim, doors, etc. The IR paint remover is supposed to prevent the release of lead so that's why I'm interested in in. The paint is a mix of latex, oil, and no telling what else. It's at least 4 coats that I can tell, but it is probably more.
