Wow, TBN still at 4.4. Very nice report. So much for that old belief that Valvoline synthetics aren't an extended drain oil.

Seems there is going to be lots of 2.7 Ecoboost F150 UOAs! The TBN and viscosity is good

I was surprised at the TBN!

Right? I thought it did really well.

Thanks for providing a uoa with enough miles on the oil to tell us something.

What was the iolm at the change, do you remember?

Ford's iolm is perfectly fine based on my test against it with a uoa.

Is this the synblend MaxLife red jug, or the full synthetic with MaxLife technology(FSwMT)?

Next to "oil type and grade" it says 5W30 syn.

Yes I saw that, but it says Valvoline MaxLife which is the red jug, so that's why I am asking for clarification.

BigD1, I was assuming this was based off the old MaxLife synthetic branding, not the new packaging. I get your point though.

Nope iolm was at like 35%

Mostly commuting, I drove it to Utah to go camping on this run. While I was there we did a lot of dirt road driving and I hauled some wood in the bed.

Mine seems to have the same countdown no matter how I drive the p/u

I know Im going after minor details but I'd keep the OCI at 7500 miles because viscosity might drop below thresh hold..but I assume it wouldnt hurt going past that.

Same with mine. I towed a trailer at 75 mph from Florida to California non stop and it still counted down by 10% per 1k miles.

Oil is still serviceable.
Wear rates acceptable, considering it's breaking-in.
OCI could have extended further to say 10K, I guess.
