Thanks. I remembered seeing that a while back and checked those tubes when I changed fluid and filter the other day and mine were tight. I should order that and have on hand and install next filter change just to have one less worry.

It's OE in my 6L80E, replete with little tlts to keep it elevated to increase its exposed surface area.

Ironic that too much debris generated for the magnet to capture is alleged as a cause for failure.
