Analyze these plugs from my 2005 Ford Focus. I had been alternating between NGK platinum and Autolite platinum while I was having drivability issues. The car ran a little better with the NGK's. The trouble turned oout to be a weak ignition coil that has been replaced. I think the NGK plug is a little hotter than the Autolite because 2 NGK heat ranges are spec'd for my application and this plug is the hotter one.

I see deposits on the center wire

Thanks for your expert analysis'!

Looks fine to me. The color on the tip is that is where the spark comes from so it runs hotter and will change color like that. Perfectly normal and looks to be wearing normal.
