Store Kerosense in Non-Vented Container?

I'm wondering whether I can store kerosene in a non-vented container. I have a gallon can that used to hold denatured alcohol that I'd like to use.

Sure. They sell kerosene in that very container. Just label it so you don't forget what's in there.

Comes in 55gal drums, and they aren't vented.

My "official" blue kerosene 5 gallon plastic container is not vented.

Did it for 8 years. Only vented was in the container in the heating unit.
