This came off my 62 Falcon Restromod. Engine is a roller block 5.0. 2,000 miles with Rotella 10w-30. Looked good with no issues noted.

Okay, here are a couple of the car. It's my weekend toy. Roller block 5.0 with E303 cam, Edelbrock manifold with 600cfm Holley, shorty headers in front of a rebuilt C4. It's a lot of fun.

Nice ride cb4017 -

The FL-1A is the best filter size ever! It fits almost all fords over a 30+ year span and holds about a quart of oil itself. I use this size on my 96 Dodge Ram 360, it is just a larger version of the original size.

Good looking Falcon!

I don't think so. It's been on the car for a year and I bought it from the local WalMart. The date code is pictured above so if someone can decipher it we will know when it was built.

Awesome! Thank You.

I thought the same thing that the string was history a while ago.. I don't remember seeing strings on the newer Motorcrafts/tearolator filters..

Correct ... bold red part in the date code is the date (mm/dd/yy format).

Looks fine. Some large(r) Puro and Puro 'made fors' still use the assembly string including the FL 1A. Seems confirmed with google image search, and this one relatively new. As long as no functional effect as here, no problem. Never figured out why the FL 1A specs nitrile adbv as opposed to majority MCs using silicone. Perhaps has to do with filter orientation in models used?

Thanks for c&p. Nice ride btw.
