Hi Bitogers,
quick question:
i own an apartment in a building.
the building charges us for the comcast basic channels line-up about $42-45 per month. (either we watch or not we pay)
we also have internet on our own (comcast also).

Do you know how do you get out of this?

most of what we watch could be get over antennas or internet.

Appreciate and thanks.

Probably going to depend on what it says in your HOA agreement. If it says thou shalt buy our cable, then you're pretty stuck. Otherwise, you would have to work it through the HOA.

What does the rules you agreed to say? If they say you have to pay then sorry for now. Your option is to run for the board and change the rules.

If not tell them you do not want to pay anymore.

Is the $45 per month for the cable and Internet combined, or do you pay extra for the Internet? If I cancelled my cable, Comcast would still charge me $70 per month just for Internet alone.
