I had Duraglosss polish right there in the garage. Meguairs M105 was in the basement.

Pretty impressed what it was able to do

More elbow grease and this is what we have; Not 100% recovery but good enough from couple of feet and for 17 year old car!

Good job DG501 !

2 times I shattered the mirror. Once on the garage opening backing out..
and once from a retread that flew up on the highway.

Looks good though.

For me being a daily driver anything you cant see at 10ft is good.

Too many people bump parking etc.

This *is* the replacement mirror! The original one was lost couple years ago to the same garage wall. I was told that the wall just jumped out of no where :)

It was actually lot worse. After I did half the work, I realized that I should have taken pictures before starting. Frankly, I never expected DG501 to do this job. I was ready to take out the buffer and M105 but thought let me just try DG501 as it was right there on the garage shelf.

Another wall must have closed in over the week!

Before

After

Later I used the Walmart 6" wax spreader and DG501 which made it even better. I did not take the picture.

This is the beauty of owning an old car. I no longer care about small stuff.

I keep our daily use cars out of garages for this very reason. Good work. I wonder if a sharp, new razor over the paint scar would have helped at all... Then polish and seal...
