Her car would not start today due to a dead battery.

Looks like I will be off to Wal Mart to grab an Ever Start!

My local store had a whole slew of them on rollback for $93 last week. Good time to buy, but I don't need one right now.

If you want a battery on a budget, find a Rural King.
60 month battery with 1 year free replacement for $44.99.
If you want more CCA than 525, batteries up to 650 are $49.99.
Includes testing and installation.
At those prices with a warranty, I can even overlook that they are Exide.
If it is a budget that you are looking at, these are probably the best bang for the buck.

I miss the times my local Costco carried JC batteries for a decent price.
I recently had the battery go kaput on my daily driver. No advance signs, 4th start attempt that morning and it just gave up. So I jumped myself and drove down the road to nearest AZ and slapped a DuraLast in (they didn't have the Gold). Times like that I don't consider price (actually asked for the best they had), just wanted to get back on my way and be done with it.

Just for S&G, I purchased two of the WM Value batteries to see how they hold up.

Amps seem to be on par with all of the other Group 65's out there: 650CCA/800 @ 0 deg F.
