What are the best batteries in the market for heavy duty trucks?

Exide, odyssey, Bosch, Tanya, yuasa etc

If the design of the battery makes it less prone to vibration and heat then it'll last longer.

FWIW, the trucks at work (Ryder) use batteries branded either Exide or International.

I'm very partial to Odyssey for marine and heavy duty. They sure aren't cheap though. Diehard Platinum is almost the same battery.

That might have more to do with the "we bring our product to you" factor.

Speaking of heat, make sure to reinstall the heat shield, if the vehicle has one.

Not sure why a heat shield needed on heavy duty truck batteries. They are usually not in the engine compartment like a pickup or a car. All my heavy duty trucks have separate battery compartment boxes that are not exposed to more than ambient air temperature.
