Heavy duty trucks batteries

If the design of the battery makes it less prone to vibration and heat then it'll last longer.

That might have more to do with the "we bring our product to you" factor.
 
Not sure why a heat shield needed on heavy duty truck batteries. They are usually not in the engine compartment like a pickup or a car. All my heavy duty trucks have separate battery compartment boxes that are not exposed to more than ambient air temperature.
