these are in my price range.
I have to buy at Walmart using their credit card.
are these ok?
I drive 15K a year mostly on highway and in all weather conditions.

Perhaps the worst tires I have ever driven on. BUY SOMETHING ELSE!!!

Why dont you post the size/car and some folks can offer some other affordable options that might be better.

For around the same price I'd look at the General RT43 or one of the Cooper tires. Either brand should be available on walmart.com. They will be around the same price and I think both brands have some nice rebates going on right now.

I vote for General RT43's. Not that I've "tried 'em all" but they have worked well enough for me, as an all season. Seem to excel at nothing, but do ok in everything, including light snow. [Insert obligatory comment about how you should use snow tires in winter here.]

195/60r15 (sentra)
195/65r15 or 205/55r16 (elantra)

in denver, you should use winter tires, especially if you dare to venture out in more than light snow (or carry chains, just in case).

(for that price, I would look into Nokian WR g3, which is in the same price range for all 3 sizes, and it's all-weather with mountain-snowflake).

These kumho's for 195/60r15 are on sale.

for 195/65r15, the goodyear assurance tripletreds are more reasonable

but...

too lazy for 205/55r16

What car? What tire size?

We have run two sets of the Vivas. They were great in all weather, but they were 175/65r14. I suspect tires for a van or bigger they didn't do so well, but we loved them. The Falken Sincera SN250 Tire A/S are on sale for certain sizes and are rated 80,000mi.

If you have to get tires from walmart, fwiw, i put douglas tires on my old 1998 minivan. not much different then the cooper cs4 that wore out in 55k miles. so far i have 10k on the tires in 15 months and have been pleased. should be able to get 45-50k miles out of them. if it matters, the tires are made in the usa.

Go into Discount Tire, they have more tires than what's on their website, they just order them in.

Like my RT43s, they aren't on Discount Tire's website. They ordered them for me.

the tires are for the Sentra 195-60-15
I have to buy them using my Wal-Mart credit card and keep the price at $300 out the door.
Snow is not a big issue. We rally don't get a lot of snow in Denver to be concerned about.

Kumho SOLUS TA11
I think I'm going to order this one. It has a good rating by Consumer reports magazine.

For 195/60-15, my first choice would be Dunlop Signature II

Other good choices:
Cooper CS3
Falken Ziex ZE950

I think they also carry Nokian now, in case you wanted to try the WRG3, if winterability is a priority in an all-season tire.

I just placed the online order for these tires.
They should be at Wally world on Wednesday.
$237.00 for 4.

Waited a week no tires.
Got a hold of Walmart customer service and they said there was an error in ordering?
So they canceled the order and I have to wait for an e-mail conformation and reorder the tires.

I have had multiple issues with walmart.com orders. I bought a $1300 TV that was delivered to the store 3 weeks late. I went to Best Buy in the meantime and bought the same tv in store.

Walmart wouldn't refund me my money either, jumped through all types of hoops to finally get it back 6 weeks after purchase.

I just ordered two sets of these. I ordered four 225/60-17 on Saturday and their website indicated delivery to my store by 9/27 and they arrived to the store today. I ordered four 195/60-15 Monday and their website indicates delivery to the store by 9-26. Appears this set is coming from CA so will likely take a few more days than the first set but it shows shipped. Hope you get yours straightened out soon. As to the original question I have a set of Viva 3's on a 2001 bug and have no complaints about them but that car is pretty easy on tires.

I reordered the tires today.
They are supposed to be at my Walmart on the 28th.
We will see.

Walmart says my tires have shipped.

Now we will see if they:

shipped to the right store

shipped the right tires

shipped the right size
