I'm sure there is a lot more going on that we are not privy to. Legal issues maybe. I don't know.

The fact is, XOM has decided to change this oil's formulation in the US, but not in other parts of the world. That raises all sorts of conspiracy theories in BITOGers' minds.

Yes, there is this one up here. It's container size is a little problematic for most, though, being a drum.

But, as you point out, they can and do make an LL-01 lubricant.
