I have a 1994 Dakota v-6 2wd at trans. regular cab. modest deer hit in front resulted in the non-working a/c eliminating a dented condenser, via cutting clip.I have a guy that does some work reasonably, I painted the (previously) black roof with white rustoleum to help cool down. What might be a real world price to put a/c back in service? I don't know why a/c failed before but believe a leak. Probably too expensive but a/c is nice and car looks like maybe 3? years if possible. Thoughts?

You would also need a new drier because moisture has gone into the system, then have it vacuumed out by an A/C technician. Replacing the expansion block is usually recommended at the same time.
