I would like to see something like this on this Toyota hose to see if its worth 5x the price.
The Gates is very good hose for $2 a foot.

Is the Toyota hose Gas, gasahol and Diesel rated?

I don't think anything comes close to Toyoda Gosei in quality. They hold dozens of patents in hose manufacturing and their rubber is top-notch. Their hoses last virtually forever and never need replacing even after several decades, still remaining like brand-new.

I dont care for Gates (reboxed) hard parts like tensioners and water pumps but their core products like belts and hoses have always been top shelf.

Does Gates make a commercial duty rubber garden hose ? They don't do they!

It says R1 on the hose. So, burst pressure is 2750 psi for 6 mm hose and 2500 psi for 8 mm hose. Operating pressure is 1/4 or less of that.

1980s carbureted Toyotas were not gasohol-compatible but I'm sure the rubber material has changed since then. I doubt Toyoda Gosei would use anything short of the highest-quality material.

Don't care about gas or gasohol... How about diesel and low percentage biodiesel?

I think Gates is OK and yes, it's approved for all those according to the link above. It's also very cheap.

In my car I would use Toyoda Gosei OEM for better fit and reliability. Besides I already have almost two feet left. I like it when things snap right on and they look and feel sturdy and high-quality.
