99 Cherokee XJ Clock spring

I have a 99 cherokee XJ. I need to replace the clock spring (typical symptom.. airbag light ..no horn..no cruise...).
My question is, my XJ has cruise which I never use, can I use a clock spring that comes without cruise (since its about half the price)? Besides a loss of all cruise functions, will anything else be affected?

I guess you'll find out when the computer tries to command airbag deployment and your truck goes into cruise instead

same plugs minus the wire for the cruise connector

As long as you use one for a 1999. There's 4 different Cherokee steering wheels for 97-01 even though they all look identical. Wired differently, etc.

I'd try to at least get a non-cruise steering wheel!
