Any recommendations on type of grease for hubs/bearings on a boat trailer that gets frequently dipped in saltwater? Was thinking wolf's head.

+1 Bearing Buddies (or equal) are a must. Just enough grease to see the spring move slightly - don't over do it ...

What type is currently in the bearings.. and do you plan on cleaning them out before regreasing.

I will clean them all out before repacking, so not too concerned about mixing. Not sure what kind of grease is currently in there (other than one repacked on side of road this week!) Trailer carries 12k load about 5K miles per year if that matters.

Thanks guys. Just ordered amsoil "synthetic water resistant grease." It has calcium sulfonate thickeners.
