I used to drive tanker truck for Coca Cola U.S.A in the late 70 and early 80s to make extra $$$ and they had hazardous material permits to go over the San Francisco Bay Bridge and the Carquenez Bridges because of the phosphoric acid content in the syrup concentrate.

It's a great test for what it is supposed to measure...for any oil manufacturer to state that it's got any relevance to how long your engine lasts is nonsensical.

Why do you need an engine oil that excels at gear oil/grease tests ?

If so, then why isn't anything like it in the SAE/API/ACEA suite of tests for engine oils ?
