Hood Latch Grease?

Anyone have any recommendations for a quality hood latch grease? I'm sure WD40 would help, but I'd rather have a more permanent fix.

White lithium grease, LPS 2, Amsoil MPHD, Schaeffer Penetro, whatever spray lube I've got nearby that will stick around longer than 3-in-1 oil.

I use silicone spray lube. Seems to attract less dust than WD-40 and White Lithium Grease.

Swiss Grease specially made for car hinges and latches.....24 bucks per spray can, but worth it I think.......

creeps first then dries to thick clear synthetic grease.....works for me every time.......

I've been using the Amsoil Heavy Duty Metal Protector on door hinges and hood latches and I'm happy with the results. It dries leaving a wax like film that doesn't attract dirt like white grease.

I wouldn't think its a very picky application. I personally like Fluid film.

I had a similar problem, but no spray Lithium grease. I was about to buy some, but decided to give some motorcycle chain spray lube a try. It worked fine.

Door-Ease-Stainless Stick Lubricant. Had the tube since 1971 with about a quarter used. Told wife to throw it in the urn.

I use dry lube or garage door lube typically. If I am out I will use a quick squirt of WD-40 whenever I do oil changes.

I sometimes use aerosol white lithium grease, but I prefer Super Lube Aerosol with PTFE. I have a can that was packaged for AC Delco.

Ive been using semi-synthetic oil since reading this thread.

Just a few drops a few different times and it seems to shut/latch better.
