He stated he'd put in at least two quarts from what he can recall. Drained about 4.5 qts out - it was low . Found that the oil filter wasn't even hand tight , I barely touched it and it started coming off.

Ah, the lovely Rotella stink. Makes you know you're got fresh oil.

2011 Ford Fiesta SE, 1.6L I-4 w/manual trans.
70,202 miles on vehicle - 6,330 miles on oil

OUT:
Castrol EDGE Full Syn 5W-20, FRAM Tough Guard

IN:
Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5W-20, Purolator BOSS

Also replaced Purolator Classic air filter with another Classic air filter.

My engine seems very very noticeably more quiet after the oil change. I believe the oil is possibly shearing down, hence why I went with Extended Performance. I'm thinking it may be a bit more shear stable but I should have checked with a UOA to confirm. The reason I think it's shearing is the engine seems noticeably more noisy as an oil change goes on & I run very high RPM. 3K-4K RPM for long periods at 70-80mph on the highway, downshifts to pull hills at high speed reving to 5K & beyond plus I regularly redline at 6K just for the heck of it even though it's a slow car.

Not quite that bad, but it sees redline once a day anyway. Lol As for the high RPM on the interstate, not my fault Ford didn't give it a 6th gear. Haha

2004 Ford Ranger 4L V6. Miles: 150,432

Out: MS5K 5W30 and AC Delco PF1250. No startup rattle was observed with this combo. OCI/FCI 4900 miles. No makeup oil added. I cut the filter open. Everything was in order.

In: MC Premium synth blend 5W30 and WIX 51372. It took maybe 3 seconds to fill the filter and galleries. As noted from the startup rattle ceasing. I think I will fill the filter next time.

Just did a change on my 1989 Chevy Suburban V2500 with the 350; decided on using SuperTech conventional 5W-30 and try out a SuperTech filter since I see they are once again a decent design from Wix.

When I changed the oil last time, I used 10W30 as I had that laying around along with a Baldwin filter I got from a truck stop and I noticed the engine just was sluggish at times, which I attribute to the oil.
