Nothing wrong with the engine that I know of, doesn't burn any oil or coolant. Plugs look great to me, could probably go another 50k. Engine felt and sounded exactly the same after replacement. Replaced with the same NGK brand spark plugs.

I changed the factory NGK's at 166K and they looked great. Didn't notice any difference with the new plugs as well.

I am still amazed at the longevity of today's long life iridium spark plugs in comparison to other spark plugs.

Me too, it is amazing that iridium spark plugs can lasted up to 100k miles or more. Back to the '80s the best plugs probably didn't lasted more than 25-30k miles.

My Toyota Tacoma requires the plugs to be changed every 30K. Went 60K on iridiums and two plugs the electrode was almost gone. Went back to double ground platinums that it calls for.

That is because your engine like my 1MZ-FE is a waste spark ignition.
