What's the best way to order Amsoil products? I feel like I've read on BITOG that you can order through a site sponsor and get ~20% off. Of course there is always just buying online and getting it shipped (and having to pay for shipping) or buying through a local affiliate, but probably paying tax and possibly shipping. Before I placed a big order, just wanted to check. Thanks.

A good dealer wont charge you e PC charge and give you PC/Dealer pricing. The dealer still makes money on the product through " Credits ". The more credits they have the higher % of total sales they get back from Amsoil. Im sure Pablo will hook you up

First and foremost - buy from an BITOG site sponsor Amsoil dealer. We help support this site.

Yes please contact me (PM or email), I will sign you up as a preferred customer (PC), no problem, no charge and you get ~25% off.

Thanks!

Paul

I agree. Support those who support BITOG. Guys like Pablo contribute cash, knowledge and humor here. As far as I know, it doesn't matter where you're located.

Uh oh.

I thought Amsoil somehow knew the "sponsor" when a PC ordered from the warehouse. (?)

You are correct, if you used one of my links here with the 515729 at the end of it. I think it's all good sir.

One thing to watch out for apparently, is if you become a preferred customer there is no going back. If you ever decide you don't want to be a preferred customer any longer, then you don't get to order Amsoil online ever again--Even if you do follow a link with 515729 at the end of it.

Well, I say "you" but what I really mean is "me". I ordered some oil via Pablo's link a while ago (2 years maybe? not sure). I went for the preferred customer option at that time. It made sense since the cost savings of the preferred membership discount exceeded the cost of the membership. Now, however, I can't order from the website. Any time I try, I can get to the checkout and then it throws me to the login screen and says:
Quote:
Your AMSOIL account is past due for renewal.
Please click here to renew.
After completing the renewal process, your Preferred Customer Zone access will be immediately reactivated.

That also affects my login to the MyAMSOILGarage portal too. As soon as I try to log into the MyAMSOILGarage portal, it throws me back to the login screen with the above "You gotta pay" message, even though it still advertises "Free for Everyone". They should probably add "...Unless you've been a preferred member in the past."

Kind of a **** move on Amsoil's part--they're basically holding the maintenance information I entered into their garage portal hostage for the $10 membership fee. Sure it's only ten bucks, but it is the principal of the thing that ticks me off. I'm not gonna negotiate with hostage takers, and PP is cheaper anyway.

+1

So I Dirtmover, did you ask anyone? Send an email or call? Because I can assure you Amsoil isn't holding you hostage or running a trap or anything else. With just a simple request it can be changed. So absolutely you can go back. Send me a pm or email with your real name and PC number and I will make it so.
