From other threads here it looks like Castrol Magnatec or Penzoil Pure Plus, 5w20 are the best choices with Motorcraft filter. Are these the best choices?

Motor has 30K miles and is driven easily for about 15K per year.

Thanks.

What Ford recommends?
I think for EU version (Ford Kuga) they recommend 5W30 fully synthetic.
Personally, I like bit thicker oils in turbo engines.

Well it comes with Moto's semi-syth 5w20. 5w20 is the correct weight.

Oh I know 5W20 is correct weight. But be aware, Ford changed viscosity for 3.5l from 5W20 to 5W30.
I am just giving my opinion that in Turbo engine I like bit more protection.
And if you want to stay with 5W20, I would go strictly with full synthetic.

Interesting. Thanks for the info.

There probably is no best choice. The good thing is that you are changing the oil regularly with a good quality synthetic. Mobil 1 makes great products as does Castrol and many others. Use a high quality 0w20 or 5w20 and good quality filter and change every 10k miles.

Motorcraft filter?

I'm not sure if the 1.6L EcoBoost is as hard on oil as many other EcoBoosts, but I'd personally stick to a quality syn blend & Motorcraft filter at 5K mile OCIs.
