Can someone explain to me ( in simple terms, I ain't real bright LOL ) the difference between a Wix 57620XE and 57620XP filter..

Efficiency Specs
57620XE = 50% @ 14 microns, 95% @ 25 microns.
57620XP = 50% @ 20 microns.

from Wix specs:
XE, Beta Ratio: 2/20=14/25
Nominal Micron Rating: 14

XP, Beta Ratio: B2=20

OK, but is there a simple way to understand Beta Ratio, Like on the XE Beta Ratio 2/20=14/25 now does that convert to 50% @ 14 microns and 95% @ 25 microns? Are the numbers after the = always microns? Or another way to ask the question, what does 2/20 and B2 mean?
If a little Knowledge is dangerous, I'm a Cocked Pistol.

Is this for a Cummins engine? If so the XE is ok but there are better filters out there to be had.

Case-IH doesn't call it a Cummins, but it is!

They would be a Consolidated diesel company engine. CDC was a partnership between jicase and Cummins. That is also where the Cummins engines I'd dodge came from. They were first in tractors and combines.

Yes, just as I also showed above ... that is how the WIX beta ratio info is read.

Yes, always in microns.

No, 2/20 does not mean B2 (Beta 2). Beta 2 = B2 = 50%.

Beta Ratio - Efficiency %
2 - 50.0
5 - 80.0
10 - 90.0
20 - 95.0
30 - 96.7
40 - 97.5
50 - 98.0
60 - 98.3
70 - 98.6
75 - 98.7
80 - 98.8
90 - 98.9
100 - 99.0
200 - 99.5
300 - 99.7
500 - 99.8
1000 - 99.90
10000 - 99.99

Don't worry about it. Just slap one on and go. Lol just stay away from those god awful frams and all will be well
