On some Fram versions like the 3614 the inlet holes are right next to the ADBV sealing surface, so positioning is more important.


I would think the nubs on the end caps would ensure everything is lined up properly inside the can.

It doesn't sound like that engine works well with thin, fuel-saving oil.

I thought that switching to 5W-30 might reduce consumption, but another user in this thread hasn't noticed a difference in consumption with different viscosities.

Out of curiosity, why would a shorter OCI reduce consumption?
