Using an oil filter for HYDRAULICS (Wix?)

Tough to get a replacement hydraulic filter, when I can, it is expensive and cheaply made.

Just a thought, If I can get the thread, gasket to fit, what am I risking in using a high quality (say Wix?) oil filter?

Is it a pressure side or return side application?

Do you know the OE part number? If you do you can look it up on the Wix (or any other mfgs. web site).

Those being asked, the answer is a definite maybe.

This is the firs set of 50/5000 for kubota off road equipment.

In order to get there from here you'll have to "sign up" on the Wix web site. The link is in the lower right portion of the opening page. ( www.wixfilters.com ) once you sign on follow the links to "off road" equipment and you'll get there.

Most likely your application is a Wix 51064. But there are other applications too, 51361, 51268, 51344 etc.

thanks! I missed the "sign-in" and have been stumpling on the "public" mode.

worked once, when I went back to confirm, got the following on all searches (10 vehicles)
