Friend of mine bought one online from Grab A Gun. Shoots nice, seems to be very user friendly. Anybody own one of these? Wouldn't mind having one myself if they are as well built as they seem to be.

I have the Tactical version, so basically the same gun with with a bunch of Magpul kit. It is great, and very reasonably priced for what you get.

Palmetto State Armory was selling them for $299. They are a steal at that price, for sure. Since .22 ammo has been unobtainable, mine has just been sitting in the back of the safe. I have decided to give it to my one year old son when he is old enough to shoot it, so I'll just keep it in the back of the safe until then.

I thought you were referring to the 22LR version. Oops. The Smith & Wesson sport is an ok gun. For the money, you could get a much higher quality gun elsewhere. For $550-600, you can currently get a hammer forged FN barrel upper and Magpul edition lower from PSA and slap them together. The FN hammer forged barrels and FN bolt carrier groups that they use are 2nd to none and not what you would expect to find on a gun at that price range. These hammer forged FN barrels alone sell for about $300 from other retailers just by themselves. The heart and soul of the AR15 platform are its barrel and bolt carrier group, so that is where you focus your attention on quality.

$319 currently, hammer forged upper
