Should read:

Out: VSP 5W20 and Purolator L25608

2004 Grand Caravan SXT

Out: Peak Performance 5w-30 + CD2 & Purolator PL14670
OCI duration: 4810 miles

In: .5 qt M1 5w-30 + .5 qt PP 5w-30 + 4 qt Peak Performance 5w_30
& MicroGard MGL14670

I was informed that the oil light was coming on. About 3.5 quarts drained out so it was not due to lack of oil. Perhaps the Pure One was overloaded with particulate causing lower idle pressure? Pure One is high efficiency and this engine is pretty dirty from prior extended OCIs with quickie lube service. I believe the MicroGards are rated at 94% which is probably better for this engine with 236k on the clock.

1998 Neon - Castrol HM out, and Chevron 5w30 in with a wix filter... runs really quiet with this oil!

Also have a pump that I use to change about 2 quarts of trans fluid at every oil change.

8 quarts of Amsoil SS and an Amsoil filter for the F150. Slight overfill from the 7.7 quarts specified, but 9oz of oil extra still leaves it slightly below "full" on the stick.

Yesterday on the Fusion:

IN: 5.3 qts of Napa synthetic 0w20 and remnants of some Mos2 additive, and a Motorcraft FL-910s filter.

So, a story with this oil change.

I had extra Amazon money, so I bought an AEM Dryflow cone filter. I had installed a cold air intake and used a generic cone filter, figured I'll change it out. Put 3k miles on it. When I went to install the AEM, this came out:

Yeah, the center cap fell out. [censored]. it's just glued there. So somewhere in 3k miles, this thing is useless. I'm lucky it didn't get sucked up.

So I was angry, at myself, at things in general. I begrudgingly drained the GC out of my 2zz-ge that only had 3k miles on it, and put in 4.8 quarts of Peak Conventional 5w30 and a Purolator Pureone.

Should I run this for a full OCI or shorten it because of probable contamination? I have PU 5w30 on deck.

Lesson learned, stay away from generic garbage.

Just run it the normal duration.
