Hyundai 26300-35503 filter cut open

The rust looks to be outside the O-ring, so was probably rusted after installation on the vehicle.
 
Well I'd imagine so, don't think he'd put a rusty filter on..

I paid $5.50 each at Oscaro. BTW the total OCI time was 8 months, but the car was in storage for 4 months over the winter.

35503-26300 would be the Hyundai/Kia part number for the OEM filter.


These OEM filters are my favorite, but they're pretty pricey unless you buy them in bulk (gets down to $6/filter).
I personally would trust them up to 10K miles, definitely can handle the 7,500 mile OEM OCI.
