RockAuto just sold me three 'clearance' Fram filters, the old G15 canister with the 3/8" barb fittings on either end. The package mentions made in USA, and Fram being part of Bendix, Providence RI. The date codes stamped on the filters are: A5V, A7V, A9W.
The canisters are painted orange! The only steel showing is the outlet end nipple, which on all three are 'steel'. I don't plan to use them, but just wondered their mfr. date?
