Hello. Currently running 0w-40 Rotella T6 in my 2014 F350 6.7 Power Stroke. My plan was to continue running this oil year round or the Delvac 0w-40. 10w-30 is recommended for my truck. I now see that Chevron has the Delo 400 LE 400 5w-30 that sounds really good. I am really thinking of trying this oil out. Here are my questions.
Living in Canada I need a good flowing oil.
What oil will flow better in the winter on start up?
Any negatives with going with a 5W-30 HDEO vs a 0W-40 HDEO??
Other then Fuel mpg going up any benefits going with the Delo 400 LE 400 5w-30.

Thanks for all the help.

For the worst cold starting conditions, the 0w-40 would be preferable. And, as you indicate, the 5w-30 would be good for fuel economy. Where are you sourcing the 5w-30 Delo?

Any other input from anyone on this question? Other wise I am just going to switch over to the Delo 400 LE 5w-30 if nobody thinks I am crazy to do it.

That, ironically, might not be so easy to get up here, as our Motorcraft oil isn't the same as what's in the States. On the other hand, Petro-Canada and Imperial Oil (Mobil) also market 0w-30 HDEOs, with the latter also supplying a 5w-30 HDEO.

I think that is the way to go. The delo 5w30 has great specs and a long list of approvals. I would like to try it myself but my warranty imposed short oci's make it cost prohibitive. You should see a measurable improvement in mpg and still have great cold start capability.
